Upcoming Books: Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins

June 13, 2013 by Diana 4 Comments

There are many books that we are looking forward to getting our hands on.   One book in particular that we are eagerly anticipating is “Isla and the Happily Ever After” by Stephanie Perkins.

IslaHappilyEverAfterSmall

Release Date: Spring 2014 | Pages: 352 | Publisher: Dutton (Penguin)
Pre Order: Amazon ~ Book Depository ~ IndieBound

From the glittering streets of Manhattan to the moonlit rooftops of Paris, falling in love is easy for hopeless dreamer Isla and introspective artist Josh. But as they begin their senior year in France, Isla and Josh are quickly forced to confront the heartbreaking reality that happily-ever-afters aren’t always forever.

Their romantic journey is skillfully intertwined with those of beloved couples Anna and Étienne and Lola and Cricket, whose paths are destined to collide in a sweeping finale certain to please fans old and new.

At Teen Lit Rocks we are huge Stephanie Perkins fans.  We loved “Anna and the French Kiss” and “Lola and the Boy Next Door”.  We got all swoony over  Etienne and Cricket. So, it goes without saying that we are very excited about the third companion novel, “Isla and the Happily Ever After.” Since it mentions the fact that Anna and Etienne and Lola and Cricket are all going to cross paths with Isla and Josh we look forward to seeing some of our favorite characters again and seeing how they’re doing.  We can’t wait, until then we’ll just have to settle with rereading Anna and Lola.

Such a cute pic! Isla’s release date shifted to Spring 2014 but whenever it comes out I’ll be reading it 🙂 We can always re-read the other books in the meantime!

I got the date from Stephanie Perkin’s website, but I noticed there were different pre-order dates on the different sites (Amazon, Book Depository, IndiBound). You’re right about rereading the other books in the meantime. I agree that whenever it comes out I’ll be reading it as well.

Oh man I totally agree! St. Claire was my favorite ever…. until Cricket came along. This is too far away. I want to read it this summer.
