Earlier in the year, Kiki mentioned she was participating in Chaotic Goddess’ Books ‘n’ Bloggers Swap, and I figured it was a good way to share some of my books and get some new ones. I entered and was partnered with Montana of The Book Belles. Our tasks were simple: to send one book we love, one book we’ve heard things about but haven’t read, and one book on the other person’s wishlist.
1. The book she loved: “Parallel” by Lauren Miller: I’ve read some great reviews on Goodreads by bloggers I trust, so I can’t wait to read this one. I actually need to read “Split Second” too, which is also a parallel worlds story (one-two-three trend, right?).
2. The book she hasn’t read: “Vicious” by V.E. Schwab: I hadn’t heard of this title, but coincidentally Brittany is reading it right now, and she keeps saying things like “so interesting,” “still loving this,” etc. so it’s definitely going on the TBR pile.
3. The book I wanted: “The Impossible Knife of Memory” by Laurie Halse Anderson: I’m not sure there’s any need for explanation. Anderson is a masterful writer, and although it’s a sad book (or so I’ve been told), I wouldn’t miss it.
Many thanks to Chaotic Goddess Swaps. I’m thrilled to have three new books to read this Spring! Check out the site for more swapping opportunities.
