1. Dreams of Gods & Monsters by Laini Taylor: It was truly wonderful to finally have a conclusion to the the story of Karou and Akiva joined by Zuzanna and other favorites. This is now one of my all-time favorite trilogies. I loved the way Taylor was able to conclude this story in a way that was satisfying to her fans.
2. Cress by Marissa Meyer: I read all the books of the Lunar Chronicles right after Cress had already come out , so I didn’t have to wait. I quickly came to love all of the characters in this series and I am eagerly awaiting Winter to find out what will become of Kai, Cinder, Wolf, Scarlet, Thorne, and Cress. Then, I’m looking forward to the new characters to be introduced in Winter.
3. Hollow City by Ransom Riggs: I really enjoyed Miss Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children. Shortly after reading it, I got to see Ransom Riggs at YALLfest and became a bigger fan of his as well. So I read Hollow City as soon as it came out and I was not disappointed. I really look forward to continuing the story of these “misfits.”
4. Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins: I’m a Stephanie Perkins fan and as far as I’m concerned, she could write an alphabet book and I’d be all over it. So it was with great anticipation that I read Perkins’ companion novel of Anna and Lola. While Isla was not my favorite of the three, the reunion made it all the more amazing.
